Why aren’t we losing weight?

The realization WE need to face together.

Everyone knows its easier to say than be done. In reality, we are given so many resourced for it to be followed, but why are we still struggling?

I can sit on Pinterest for hours saving “healthy” recipes but why don’t I actually put them to use? I pay for Weight Watchers three month plan but I never log my activity? Similar to you, I kind an awesome kick boxing workout video on YouTube and do it for a week, but then I stop. Is something wrong with me?

Maybe… it’s because I am not ready yet and neither are you. I believe you when you say you are tired of the excess weight, bloating, and little to no energy because I am too. This lifestyle change can seem larger than life and nearly impossible when we don’t see results in one week.

Mental health plays a huge role in changing your lifestyle, as you need to be self motivated to push yourself. Mental health is different to everyone, as each person faces their own struggles and handles their recovery differently.

I look at others on my social media platforms and obviously get jealous of how they look and the healthy routine they must follow. You can hear it a thousand times until one time it might actually stick — don’t compare yourself to others.

Your skin is filled with empowerment and beauty. You can do things that other people can not and thats what makes you unique. You hair color is different, the color green may not look the best on you, or your nails be done. You are different than everyone else and thats perfect.

What works for other people may not work for you. Drinking green juice every morning could make you bloated, who would have thought?

Maybe we are not ready to grind down to lose that weight, I have learned that it can not be forced. Your body will tell you when it is ready, but until then, lets just go ahead and by the next size up pair of jeans because they are comfortable! A size is just a number, your body is yours forever. Be happy in it.
